European Membrane House (EMH)

EMH, the one-stop place for membranes expertise and partnerships

International non-profit association (European statute) hosted by IEM, the European Membrane House has been set up in 2008 upon request by the European Commission following the NanoMemPro’s Network of Excellence (FP6), in order to further structure the European Research Area in the field of membrane systems and processes.
EMH is lobbying on the European level to draw the attention of policy-makers on the relevance of using membrane systems and processes. Its objective is here to increase the volume of dedicated actions and funding.
EMH develops its network internationally, through its collaboration with structures of different countries (e.g. Universities, institutes, laboratories) and non-governmental organizations (e.g. UNESCO).
EMH is part of regional, national and Europeans projects, taking charge of the communication and dissemination activities. EMH recently add to its fields of intervention an expertise in European regulations around scientific projects and industrial development, in order to boost exploitation of results.
EMH Executive Director: Prof. Gilbert M. Rios
Project officers : Lucie Vaamonde & Mathilde Boucher
