Objectives :
To study the relationship between formulation and elaboration parameters, mass and/or heat transfers involved and the morphology of polymer membranes elaborated by phase separation processes or inorganic membranes, in order to control their functional properties.
The engineering of membrane elaboration states on a multi-scale experimental approach, on line and in-situ, and on the modeling of thermodynamic phenomena and transfer kinetics.
This coupled approach enables a better understanding of structuration mechanisms of materials for a better control of their functional properties.
Moreover, the experimental validation of models allows their use for simulation, in order to predict membranes structures for “process” given parameters.
Technical support:
Analysis: NIR ; Spectrophotometer UV-Visible (+Peltier) ; Microscopes ;
Semi-industrial pilot-units: Gloves box enabling the elaboration in controlled conditions; elaboration reactors with controlled conditions of temperature, pressure, relative humidity …
Projects in progress :
Elaboration engineering of polymer membranes by phase separation processes
Elaboration engineering of « green » membranes
Elaboration engineering of photocatalytic inorganic membranes
